To suffer is to experience pain, illness, or injury. There are two kinds of suffering: godly suffering and ungodly suffering. Godly suffering is to experience pain, illness, or injury for the propagation of the gospel, your faith, and standing for Christ. This kind of suffering has a reward from God (Matthew 5:11-12). Apostle Paul, Stephen, Peter, and the rest of the disciples of Jesus Christ suffered for the gospel of Christ, and they were rewarded for their work. Beloved, ungodly suffering is to experience pain, illness, or injury for your own selfish interest such as stealing, gossiping, unforgiveness, eating the wrong diet, and the like. Dear beloved, prepare to suffer for Christ because Christianity is not all cozy and rosy (John 15:20). There is a time to suffer for Christ so that you can grow to maturity and be in a position to lead and encourage others. May the Lord open your eyes to see and enjoy the benefits of suffering for Christ. Hallelujah! Be An Overcomer!
